A professional celebrant who is friendly and obliging
towards people with a sense of humour and who can remove most of the
stress and strain from the ceremony
About Me
Following appointment by the Attorney General of Australia in 1995, I
have conducted approximately 1250 weddings. I find it very rewarding and
gain much satisfaction from performing all the varied duties of a civil
celebrant and being able to use my skills in dealing with people.
It is the best job I have ever had and now at 62 years of age, I find
that it is a great feeling being a part of one of the happiest days in
the life of the Bride and Groom and their families.
I am not a serious, conservative type of person, but I do not get up
at the ceremony and tell jokes either - rather I see the job of a
celebrant is to conduct the wedding ceremony in a thoroughly relaxed and
happy atmosphere but at the same time, with dignity and meaning. I
strive to maintain a balance between the formal and personal aspects of
the ceremony.
My wife, or 'roadie' as I call her attends most weddings with me and
can provide that extra help to the Bride
and her attendants just at the right time.
I provide Appreciation Certificates for all Flower Girls and Page
Boys to be presented by the Bride and Groom at the conclusion of the
ceremony.
I am a committee member of the Australian Federation of Civil
Celebrants and a member of the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants,
Victoria. Both organisations demand a very high standard of quality and
excellence from their members.
Ceremonies
I provide the Bride and Groom with many ideas from which to choose,
in order to prepare their ceremony.
Ceremonies and ideas for:
- Rings
- Tying the Knot
- Vows
- Candle
- Lighting
- Collecting of the Flowers
- Roses
- Exchange
- Giving Away
can all be incorporated into a personally prepared ceremony.
I had the greatest pleasure of marrying both local and overseas
couples in many beautiful places in and around Melbourne:
Parks and gardens Beside rivers Up in hot air balloons Wineries and
Restaurants On the beach At racecourses/football grounds Private homes
and gardens Wedding chapels
The place you get married is your choice.
